Klein Moretti is the protagonist of Lord of the Mysteries. Originally Zhou Mingrui, an ordinary modern citizen, he unexpectedly transmigrated into the body of Klein Moretti, a history graduate at Khoy University in the Loen Kingdom, after performing an ancient luck-enhancement ritual.
Awakening in a Victorian era world filled with secret societies, steam machinery, and ancient cosmic horrors, Klein discovered his unique connection to Sefirah Castle—the divine realm situated above the gray fog. Using this sanctuary, he established the Tarot Club, presenting himself as the enigmatic deity "Mr. Fool."

As the founder and leader of the Tarot Club, Klein convenes gatherings every Monday at 3:00 PM Backlund time. While he sits at the head seat as Mr. Fool, he also operates an illusory avatar named The World to participate in trades, collect ingredients, and interact with other members on equal terms without exposing his true strength or limitations.
